The study concerns the multi-species assemblages of a tea plantation in context of changing climate; science in practice focusing on the domestication of tea and the development of hybrids and clones to enhance production and specific properties of the plant; the wider circulation of seeds, clones and knowledge relating to tea production in the global south. Planned outcomes include a major research application; a conference on India-Kenya exchanges relating tea; a traveling art exhibition and a peer reviewed article.
